Robert Nelson "Bob" Clement - Class of 1962

Robert Nelson "Bob" Clement (born September 23, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee) is the son of former Governor Frank G. Clement. Bob graduated from Hillsboro in 1962. Bob served in the United States House of Representatives from January 19, 1988 to January 3, 2003 (eight terms), representing the Nashville area and Robertson County. He also served on the Tennessee Public Service Commission; the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Valley Authority; and was President of Cumberland University. Bob served in the Tennessee Army National Guard and Army Reserve, retiring as a Colonel.

Bob is married to the former Mary Carson and they reside in Nashville. Bob remains active in Democrat politics in Tennessee and currently runs Clement & Associates, a public affairs firm specializing in governmental relations and business development.
